 Mini
Adventures is the brain child of Daniel Chick, owner and driver of
both an old and a new Mini Cooper. Back in 1998 Daniel and his
friend Alex Bassett took his brand new
              Mini Cooper on a trip
through Europe from London, England to Bucharest in
              Romania. Three
years later, and the pair were off again on a charity event called
the Italian Job. This time, they decided to set up a web site, the
              interestingly named http://www.r136xoa.com/
              - the registration plate of the old Mini.

              The
web site was a phenomenal success. The daily email updates from
the car during the Italian Job event attracted comments from all
over the world, and the site continued going strong for months
              after the event.
               Since
the Italian Job, another MINI has joined the fold - a new BMW
MINI Cooper. New drivers have also joined the team, Alex Froom and Nick
Makins, and the adventures have become a regular event, with trips
to Poland, Holland, Spain and France already in place.

              The
web site was relaunched in April 2002 to include more features and
information, and we plan to add many more features over the coming
              months.
