October
2001 - Daniel Chick, Alex Bassett - Old Mini Cooper
This
adventure is the one which really started the ball rolling for Mini
Adventures. Setting off over 3 years after our first mission to
Romania, this was an event staged in the name of charity, the
Italian Job. We were joined by nearly 100 other Mini's, all raising
money for a children's charity, NCH Action for Children.
Our
adventure was broadcast in excruciating detail through the Internet,
with daily email updates being sent from the car. Our adventure took
us through France, over the Alps into Switzerland and finally Italy.
Once in Italy, we spend 10 days driving around some of the most
magnificent mountain roads, beautiful Italian villages, and even a
quick blast around the Grand Prix circuit at Imola!
A
very successful adventure, we ended up raising nearly £1500 for
charity, and the daily updates had proved a great success with
literally 1000's of people viewing the web site from all over the
world.
Have
a look at the links below for the daily reports from the event - very
amusing!!!

have published all our pictures from the event in our Italian Job
